Beware of Painted Hills Beef
5 of 6 people found the following review helpful
Painted Hills Beef is raised in open pastures that are not organically certified. The cows spend the last half of their lives back in a corral being fed corn that is not organic and Painted Hills was unable to confirm it was free of pesticides. They say they put the cows through this final phase so they can get the "marbling" on the meat. I have never eaten at this restaurant but I don't want people to assume the beef is free of chemicals. I was searching for grass fed beef and I know that Painted Hills is not 100% grass fed beef.
