Urban pL8 is about quality and affordability; "high quality, affordable food in a casual, cool, friendly atmosphere…an everyday kind of place with exceptional food and service" describes Chef and owner, Betsy Pitts. Urban pL8 will be Betsy’s first restaurant since her days as sous chef at Bacchanalia and Floataway Café. This is an endeavor she has been passionate about for a long time. She states, "It's about local, sustainable products, healthier options, and affordability".
Urban pL8 cooks up locally produced, organically grown fare using fresh produce and grass fed meats from humane farms. They offer a variety of dietary options including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan. Urban PL8 recycles and uses environmentally friendly cleaning products.They also use local dairy products and farm eggs - and man, can you taste the difference. They work to conserve water by using low flow toilets, spayers and aerators. Urban pL8 uses alternatives to plastics for all of their disposables.
