Our beef and lamb are raised in a low stress environment with every consideration given to the animal’s health and well being.

They are proud to offer grass fed beef and lamb, free range eggs and produce.

Dragonfly Farms beef and lamb are available seasonally as we rely on the growing seasons to appropriately finish our animals. With an all forage diet and timely rotational grazing, we keep a healthy herd that receives no growth hormones or medicated feed.

Belted Galloway Breed

We use the grass based genetics of the Belted Galloway, a heritage breed developed in Celtic Scotland in the 16th century. The Belted Galloway’s history has conditioned them to survive in harsh climates. Their winter warmth is provided by a double coat of hair rather than a thick layer of backfat that most breeds require. The Beltie as a beef animal produces exceptionally lean and flavorful meat.

Free Range Eggs

Dragonfly Farms also offers eggs from pastured free range hens. These birds forage during the day for plants and insects and are safely confined at night. Their feed is locally milled non GMO chicken grains. As with all of our animals, our chicken’s welfare is a priority. These happy birds produce eggs that are richer in color and flavor than most store bought brands.
